VIGIL NI POPE FRANCIS SA PORTUGAL, DINALUHAN NG 1.5-M PILGRIMS

Nasa 1.5 milyong Katoliko ang dumalo sa vigil ni Pope Francis sa Parque Tejo, Portugal bilang kaparte ng World Youth Day noong Agosto 5.

 

Pagdating ng Santo Papa sa entabalado, malakas na hiyawan ang bumati sa kaniya habang isinisigaw ang, “We are the pope’s youths” at binabandera ang watawat ng kani-kanilang bansa.

 

Kahit nasa 36 degrees Celsius ang putok ng init sa Portgual, hindi natinag ang mga deboto.

 

Nakasentro ang mensahe ni Pope Francis sa kaligayahan ng mga tao.

 

Aniya, ”Joy is missionary”, kaya obligado ang bawat isa na magdala ng kasiyahan sa ibang tao.

 

"If we look back, we recall people who were a ray of light for our lives: parents, grandparents, friends, priests, religious men and women, catechists, animators, and teachers. They are the roots of our joy,” dagdag pa ng Santo Papa.
