BENEPISYONG HATID NG PCIC SA MGA MAGSASAKA, SUPORTADO NG LGU KALIBO

 

Suportado ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Kalibo ang Senate Bill No. 2117 o An act granting full Agricultural Insurance Coverage to all Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, amending for the purpose Republic Act No. 6657, as amended by Republic Act No. 9700 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law of 1988. 

Sa pahayag ni SB Member Augusto Tolentino, suportado nito ang naturang panukala na magbibigay ng buong Agricultural Insurance Coverage sa mga magsasakang Pilipino na apektado ng mga natural na kalamidad, naapektuhan ng peste, sakit sa mga pananim at iba pa.  

Napag-alaman na hindi kayang magbayad ng mga magsasaka ng insurance premium sa Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), dahilan na nirekomenda ang buong Agricultural Insurance Coverage. |Ni Jurry Lie Vicente
